Privacy Policy

Mileage Tracker by Meerkat is provided by Meerkat Innovations. This policy explains how the app collects, stores, uses, and shares information when you use mileage tracking, trip history, fuel logging, maintenance logging, cloud backup, and related features.

Information Collected

The app may collect trip locations, route breadcrumbs, addresses, odometer readings, trip classifications, vehicle and driver profiles, fuel records, maintenance records, receipts, account preferences, and information you voluntarily enter in support requests.

Location Data

Location access is used to detect movement, record mileage, create trip maps, suggest addresses and points of interest, and support optional background trip tracking. Location data is used to operate the app's mileage-tracking features.

Storage and Backups

App data is stored locally on your device. If you choose to use Apple sign-in and cloud backup features, your data may also be stored in your private account through Apple services or the app's configured backend services.

Sharing

Meerkat Innovations does not sell your trip or vehicle data. Data may be shared only when required to provide platform services you enable, when you export logs, email support, use organization features, or where disclosure is required by law.

Retention and Control

You control the trip, fuel, maintenance, and exported log records you keep in the app. You may edit or delete records in the app and may stop using cloud features at any time by signing out or deleting your account where available.

Security

Reasonable measures are used to protect app data, including Apple platform security, device protections, optional biometric access, and Apple-managed services where enabled. No method of storage or transmission is guaranteed to be completely secure.
